‘Last Week Tonight’ Harassment Ad Actually Aired During ‘O’Reilly Factor’
John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight has taken unorthodox steps to reach the President, buying stealthily educational ad time during the Fox News shows Trump is known to watch. The same was true of Oliver filling the advertiser void from Bill O’Reilly’s show with a sexual harassment PSA, one a cable affiliate actually took him up on.
Even as Oliver has managed to get the “Catheter Cowboy” ads on Fox and Friends, this past Sunday’s Last Week Tonight noted that they hadn’t heard back about a proposed O’Reilly Factor ad featuring the western figure warning Trump viewers against sexual harassment. The promo was tied to an advertiser exodus from The O’Reilly Factor in the wake of O’Reilly’s harassment settlements, as well as Trump’s remarks defending him.

We wouldn’t necessarily expect a response out of either Trump or O’Reilly, but it’s likely Oliver will address the ad’s airing with this Sunday’s all-new Last Week Tonight. Stay tuned in the meantime.
