Twitter is expanding your tweets, just not past 140 characters.

Earlier today, Twitter announced that all media used within your tweet will not count against your 140 characters. Previously, images, GIFs, videos, and polls all counted against the 140 character limit. Quoted tweets will also not count against the limit.

Twitter is also testing out replies, as the users you reply to, regardless of how many, will not count against your 140 character limit.

The concept of the expanded tweets has been in the works for over a year. Those of you who like the new changes on Twitter, feel free to hit us up at @HOT975BISMARCK. Of course, you could also tweet about how you already figured this out today and let the writer of this article know it @JaxOnHOT975.
