Man Armed With A Knife Threatens Others At Borrowed Bucks
Do some people make trouble on purpose to stay out of the cold here in Bismarck, North Dakota?
This was the first thing I thought of when I came across this story. Do some people here in Bismarck/Mandan have no other option when the weather gets cold, to cause trouble on purpose so they can get arrested? Just last week I saw on our local Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook group page, read about an incident of a guy working at a local convenience store who had a customer come up to him and say that he just stole a candy bar, hoping the police would be called so he could be taken to someplace warm, "To get out of the cold".Could this be the same scenario last Saturday?
An angry man with "a large knife" is never comforting
According to KXNET "A 55-year-old Bismarck man was arrested for threatening staff members of Borrowed Bucks with a large knife at 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Nov. 20. He was kicked out of the bar for what was described as bad behavior" Not much else was mentioned in this story, except for KXNET adding that "...he is currently being held at the Burleigh-Morton Detention Center"
Random acts of someone who is disturbed can be frightening
This is one of those cases. Here is hoping that the unidentified man receives some help, whether that be keeping an eye on his mental health or what have you. When you work in the business of dealing with customers, this is one of those things you hope to prevent. With Borrowed Bucks, their staff dealt with a situation that could have been violent. They handled it perfectly. It is clear that the employees have been trained to handle any potential volatile individual or individuals.
