Man Facing Sexual Servitude Charges in Bismarck Sees Charges Amended
The state of North Dakota has amended the charges for a man who is accused of sexual servitude in Bismarck.
Thurman Stanley was arrested in December after "holding two prostitutes through coercion," KX News reports. Stanley was looking at up to 40 years behind bars on two counts of the class A felony.
The charges have been changed to class C felonies, which carry only a five-year max sentence each.
After being taken into custody, Stanley tried to "chew off his finger pads" in a desperate attempt to make himself unidentifiable.
The state of Pennsylvania also holds warrants against Stanley, for similar offenses.
