If there's one thing that gives us festive feels, it's this. The city has been working on the downtown light display and is almost ready to do the Grand Lighting of downtown Mandan. Look for the lights on Nov. 28th!

Grand Lighting in Mandan

The Mandan Progress Organization is bringing back one of our most beloved holiday traditions: the Grand Lighting of the Mandan Holiday Lights on Main on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6 p.m., followed by Mingle with the Kringle's on Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Morton Mandan Public Library.

Friday, Nov. 28 The Grand Lighting

Downtown Mandan will be shining bright with thousands of lights and dozens of holiday displays in Dykshoorn and Heritage Parks. What can you expect to see this year? According to the MPO's press release, they will debut two brand-new signature displays: the Military Tribute Tree, honoring servicemembers past and present, and the Holiday Farm Tractor, a whimsical nod to the region’s deep agricultural roots.

Throughout the evening, there will also be festive music, and even good ole Khris Kringle will make a special grand entrance to celebrate the lighting of downtown.

Just a heads up, Main Street will be closed from 2nd Ave to 6th Ave on the evening of November 28th.
