As it gets warmer outside, we're starting to get the itch. We want to get into our shorts and swimsuits and get in the water.

While it's a little soon to do that, it won't be long before boats are on the river and pools start opening all over Bismarck-Mandan.

One of BisMan's favorite waterparks is Raging Rivers. What's not to love? Watching the kids run around the splash zone, floating around the lazy river, finding a grassy spot to picnic and soak up the sun, splashing down the waterslides-it's all a blast.

For many, the waterpark is a summer staple. It's a great place to make some family memories.

If you're like me, you might be wondering when we can get back to doing that. When will Mandan Parks open the waterpark for the season?

It looks like it will be sooner than you might think.

According to RagingRiversWaterpark.com, the first day of the waterpark season is only a month away, on May 29th. Obviously, this is weather permitting.

The park is already looking for lifeguards, selling discounted day passes, and booking birthday parties ahead of the season starting.

If you live in Bismarck-Mandan and have never been to Raging Rivers, put it on your summer bucket list. If we're being honest, I don't have kids or any good reason to go to Raging Rivers as an adult, but occasionally I do. What can I say? - It's fun.

Get your beach towels out of storage, pick up some sunscreen on your next grocery store haul, and get ready for those summer pool days, they're almost here.
