The One Really Annoying Thing Bismarck-Mandan Drivers Have Been Doing Lately
Driving through and around Bismarck-Mandan presents all kinds of challenges: 5 o'clock traffic, roundabouts, no right turns on red, etc.
There is one thing I and many others have noticed people do in one specific area of town that is not only baffling, but also pretty frustrating. Let's say you're driving west down Bismarck Expressway. You hit stoplight after stoplight. You finally get to the very last stoplight before you cross Washington and hit the highway and head over the bridge to Mandan. You're almost in the zoom zoom zone.
The light turns green, and the cars in front of you start going. They gradually speed up after clearing the intersection. Now, at this point, the speed limit has kicked up to 55mph, but you notice everyone is still going 40 mph. You give it a minute, thinking, they will get there...yep...any minute now... but no.

While I understand that the roads are wet and icy, you don't want to get too crazy, but this happens all of the time. I'm not the type of person who gets road rage, but if I were, it would happen there.
Have you noticed this? Do you know what I'm talking about? If not, I'll show you.
I give you the "Zoom Zoom, Beep Beep, Go the Speed Limit" Zone.
Am I alone in this? Am I the only one who finds this little stretch into Mandan super frustrating? Hit me up in the app and tell me if you find any other areas of Bismarck-Mandan particularly annoying.
