BisMan: Tomorrow’s Santa Run Has Been Postponed
I know many of us were looking forward to a brisk holiday jog around Mandan, but sadly, it looks like there has been a slight change of plans.
Earlier today, we received a press release from the Mandan Progress Organization, stating that the 2025 North Dakota Santa run will not take place this Saturday, December 13th.
The press release said they made this decision due to concerns about the dangerously cold temperatures and extreme wind chills forecast for race day.
"We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all runners,” said Matt Schanandore, Executive Director.
New Date For North Dakota Santa Run 2025
Schanandore says, you shouldn't hang up your Santa hats just yet; they do still plan on holding the event.
“Postponing the race allows us to uphold our safety standards while still giving participants the festive holiday experience they look forward to each year," said Schanandore.
The Santa Run will take place next weekend, Saturday, December 20th. It will begin at 4:15 p.m. and will start and finish on Main Street next to Dykshoorn Park under the glow of the Mandan Holiday Lights on Main.

In case you didn't know, the event raises funds for Hope Manor – Sober Living Homes and supports addiction recovery programs in the community.
If you are unable to attend on this rescheduled date, you may complete the race virtually.
