Miley Cyrus Seemingly Makes Oral Sex Joke to Husband Liam Hemsworth on Twitter
Miley Cyrus appeared in good spirits as she attended the Isn't It Romantic premiere without husband Liam Hemsworth on Monday.
The singer shared a photo of herself from the premiere standing in front of a promotional photo of her husband playing the saxophone. She posted the picture on Twitter and Instagram, cracking an oral sex joke about Hemsworth, who is recovering.
"Getting sick blows. But so do I. Get well soon babe. I love you. Play that sax you sexy f---," she tweeted, along with several heart and lip emojis.
Hemsworth, 29, is out of the hospital, according to a report from People. A source said he "was briefly hospitalized" and is now "at home resting and will be fine." He's said to have been suffering from kidney stones.
Cyrus attended the Los Angeles premiere on her hubby's behalf, sporting a red Maison Valentino dress and matching red lip. Her hair was pulled into a high ponytail for the occasion. She posted an Instagram note to Hemsworth about the film, which took a slightly more serious tone than her previous one.
"So proud of my hunky hubby @liamhemsworth & his newest movie #IsntItRomantic," she wrote, adding a heart emoji. "He unfortunately wasn't able to attend due to health reasons... but he is recovering and taking this time to rest / heal."
Cyrus continued, "It's hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project but this time it was crucial... I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day.... luckiest."
Hemsworth issued a statement on Instagram about his absence at the premiere, apologizing to fans. He also shouted out his wife for going as a representative of him, sharing several photos of her with his co-stars, including Rebel Wilson.
"Sorry I couldn't make it to the @isntitromantic premier tonight guys. Been dealing with some pretty annoying health stuff the last couple days," he wrote. "Lucky I have the best girl in the world to represent for me! Thanks for the support babe! I hope everyone enjoys the movie! It's a perfect Valentine's Day flick so if ya ain't got nothin better to do then go see it! Love to all!"
Wilson revealed Hemsworth's hospitalization to the public on Sunday, during a sit down with Extra. She said only that he texted his co-stars that he'd been hospitalized, but did not share the cause. A rep for Warner Brothers later told People that Hemsworth woke up unwell and had to miss the event. He also missed the Grammys, which his wife attended and performed at.
