North Dakota Briefly Hits the Big Screen in Netflix’s New Series
How do you relax after a long day at work? If you're like me, you scurry home as quickly as possible, you find a comfy pair of sweatpants, and then plop on your couch. Let the Netflix binging begin!
If you've been on Netflix lately, you might have noticed there is a new limited series on the streaming service called "Zero Day". Once you get a couple of episodes in, you're going to hear something familiar.
SPOLIER ALERT!!
You've been warned. This is a spoiler. You're not allowed to be mad if you choose to keep reading. Themz the rules.

That's right, the new series starring Robert De Niro mentions North Dakota several times. Regrettably, the show names North Dakota as a headquarters for a terrorist group that call themselves "The Reapers".
For a little more context, Robert De Niro's character is the former President of the United States. He gets called back into action when a group of hackers disables the nation's digital systems, causing a series of catastrophes.
The characters search for answers as to who may be behind the attack, and they pinpoint Belcourt, North Dakota, as being where at least one of the major players is located.
While it's not quite the light we want to shine on North Dakota, it is still cool to hear Robert De Niro talk about our state, or really see the Peace Garden State mentioned at all; North Dakota hardly gets any love from Hollywood.
Anyway, if you have one, two, or ten hours to kill like I did this weekend, you might want to give it a watch.
