New Anonymous Text Tip System to Be Used by Bismarck PD

The Bismarck Police Department has announced a new anonymous text-tip system to help in the fight against crime.

According to KFYR, the new text-tip technology is available through the Bismarck PD app, which can be downloaded through Google Play Store, the iTunes App Store, and at www.bismarcknd.gov/94/Police.

Users of the Bismarck PD app will be allowed to share anonymous tips with the Bismarck Police Department. Police officers can respond back to the anonymous tip and interact in a two-way conversation.

The new Bismarck PD app and anonymous text-tip system was developed by tip411.

If you don't have access to a smart phone, you will still be able to send an anonymous tip by  texting keyword: BISPD, along with your typed message and/or tip to 847411.

The Bismarck Police Department's website can also be used to submit anonymous tips via the Internet.

The new anonymous text-tip technology is said to be available beginning January 1, 2019.
