There wasn't a parking spot left empty today as Cash Wise celebrated the grand opening of its second Bismarck location with a ribbon cutting and sampling event. Members of the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber EDC, Coborn's corporate team, and mayor Steve Bakken were all in attendance for the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

The new location at 900 NE 43rd Avenue, is what executives at Coborn's Inc. called a "second generation" store. Take a step inside and you'll quickly understand what they mean by that. The store looks spacious with fresh, modern signage that quickly helps you locate what you're looking for. The idea behind it was to make different sections of the store feel like destination shopping, whether that be the hot food kitchen, the bakery, or the in-store Caribou Coffee shop that has both a sit down section and a drive-thru for those on the go.

"What a great opportunity for North Bismarck, and the city as a whole," mayor Bakken said of the impact the store will have on the community. "What Cash Wise brings in, with their presence here since 1996, you've got a history and longevity that goes with being in tune with the community and knowing some of its needs."

Bakken continued that the store helps further grow and develop the northern section of Bismarck, while providing consumers with another outlet for competitive grocery prices.

The store is holding another sampling event tonight from 4 to 6 p.m.
