Exciting New Coffee & Café Spot Opens in North Bismarck

There is something new in our community, and we are buzzing from all the excitement—and caffeine. Today (February 14th, 2025), a new coffee shop opened in north Bismarck.

Meg-A-Latte Coffee House

Meg-A-Latte is now open at 4700 Ottawa St, Bismarck, near Plant Perfect and Board & Brush.

Today, the people of Bismarck flocked to try it, including myself.

I spoke to the owner, Megan Wold. She told me that over the last couple of years, she has wanted to expand the brand across North Dakota and that this is the seventh Meg-A-Latte location.

There are Meg-A-Latte shops in Minot, Watford City, and Fargo, and there are three in Williston. Grand Forks will be getting one next month.

Curious, I asked Wold why she wanted to take on such a project.

"We feel there's not a ton of places to come and gather and sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. And it's more than a cafe or coffee shop. We have a big menu." said Wold.

On the Menu

The coffee shop has a full breakfast and lunch menu, desserts, and coffee. They have all of the comfort foods you could want.

"Every cup inspires connection," says Wold.

What sets Meg-A-Latte apart from other local shops and restaurants? Wold tells me their atmosphere and core values are what do it.

Why Bismarck

I asked Wold why she decided to open the Bismarck location.

"Being from North Dakota, you fall in love with all of the communities. We love this city. We love the Capital," said Wold.

Wold is from Williston but tells me she grew up coming to Bismarck to do fun activities and visit family.

Managing seven locations sounds like quite the task; I asked Wold how she does everything while keeping her head straight. She said she has an amazing team.

"I couldn't do it without a village. They hold the glue together and help run the business. And my husband is my right hand; he does all of the maintenance and helps me run the business," said Wold.

Wold says her team lives by a mantra: love others, work hard, and have passion. They bring these values to work every day.

Meg-A-Latte is open seven days a week.

Mon - Fri 5 am to 7 pm

Sat & Sun 6 am to 7 pm.
