New Feature Installed At Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park
We are having a beautifully bright and warm week here in Bismarck-Mandan. This is a nice change from all of the wind and rain we've been getting recently.
Yes, we're finally able to get out and enjoy the North Dakota summer.
During these warm weather months, many of us like to get out on the Missouri River. Some of us just prefer to hang out in our own backyards- hey, there's nothing wrong with that.
Something else many of us like to do in the summer is visit Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park.
If you plan on heading out there soon, you might want to keep your eyes open for something new.
According to the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park's Facebook page, there's a new way for you to get around the park.
In the post, it says they have recently installed a new launch. If you are a kayak enthusiast, this is your sign to get out there.
Yep, a new kayak launch now sits along the banks of the Missouri River, and it's free to use. Bring your own kayak and hit the water!
The launch was able to be constructed after the park received an anonymous donation. How nice is that?!
It is located in the park campground, next to the group tenting site.
Use this new launch to do some kayaking or even some remote fishing.
**Keep in mind that the park does not offer kayak rentals for day use.**
That's all you need to know for now. Get out there and have some fun this summer.
