New Thrift Store Now Open In Mandan
There's something about thrift shopping that's truly thrilling. You dig through piles of clothes, look through rack after rack trying to find a hidden treasure.
There are several thrift stores around Bismarck-Mandan; you may have noticed a new one in the area.
More Thrifting
If you're driving through Mandan you will see a new thrift store right next to Benevolent Tattoos at 3204 Memorial Highway.
The thrift store is called "Save a Little Green." It's a for-profit thrift store; it has been open since September 1st.
About 'Save a Little Green'
I spoke to the owner of the store, Denise Feist, and she told me she has been working in retail for more than 30 years.
Feist also told me her mission is pretty simple.
"My main mission is to keep as many items out of the landfill as possible," said Feist.
She told me she started collecting things only two months ago. She rented the storefront and got everything turned around and ready in a matter of 30 days.
She also told me there was a need for another place like this in the community.
"I knew there was a need for places to take donations," said Feist.
The store is open Monday through Saturday and accepts donations during all operating hours.
Feist told me she's happy to be her own boss and hopes to run the business until she's ready to retire.

If you plan on going to thrift stores throughout Bismarck-Mandan this weekend, you might want to add 'Save a Little Green' to your list of stops.
