Niall Horan gave Twitter trolls a piece of his mind.

The former One Direction singer took to Twitter on Thursday (Feb. 21) to share a lengthy rant about the way people treat each other online. Though it's unclear what set him off exactly—or whether he's just talking generally about the toxic environment online—Horan made it clear that he wants nothing to do with all the negativity anymore. Instead, he made a good point in saying that the world will be a much better place if people were nicer online.

"The way people talk to each other online is disgusting," he began his rant. "There’s no way you would ever say half of the stuff you do to someone’s face. Bravery behind the buttons of a phone. It’s a real shame as half the time, you don’t know the person you are talking to. Would anyone agree?"

"People sitting on their phones talking to people they’ve never met from the other side of the world, calling each other all sorts," he added in a second tweet.

Horan went on to explain that he "sees" the hate every time he goes online and that because people "feel like they know you" they can say whatever they want behind their computer screens.

The 25-year-old-old isn't the first celebrity to call out Twitter trolls. In fact, so many A-listers, such as Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Lili Reinhart, Pete Davidson, and Demi Lovato, have even taken social media breaks due to all the negativity they face on a daily basis.
