Many North Dakotans have claimed to see a ghost. Just look at all of the places in our state that people say are haunted.

There's the former governor's mansion, Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, the Children's Museum, and even UND's Wilkerson Hall is rumored to be haunted.

A study conducted by Casino.ca and shared with the NY Post aimed to determine how each state ranks on ghost sightings. They looked at 1.8 million Ghosts of America records, which is a series of books, websites, forums, and related content on social media.

With that information, they ranked each state (1 sighting for every 10,000 residents)

Where You're Most Likely To See A Ghost

According to the source, you are most likely to see a ghost in New York; the state has 81 sightings for every ten thousand people. Texas is also a pretty spooky state; it came in second with 77 sightings for every ten thousand people.

If you want to steer clear of any ghosts and paranormal activity, you should move to Georgia. It has the lowest number of sightings. It's actually the only state that ranked in the single digits. There are only six sightings for every ten thousand people.

So, where does North Dakota rank compared to all the other states? Well, the source says we fall somewhat in the middle with 37 sightings for every ten thousand people. That doesn't sound too bad, does it?
