In accordance with a proclamation signed by President Barack Obama, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple has ordered all government agencies to fly their flags at half-staff today, in observance of Memorial Day.

According to The Bismarck Tribune, Dalrymple also asked state residents to unite in prayer at 11am earlier today. He would also like all state residents to observe a moment of silence at 3pm.

Earlier today, Dalrymple commemorated Memorial Day by attending a veterans ceremony at the state Capital Grounds.
