Have you ever been pulled over by Highway Patrol, sporting a beard or funky nail polish colors? Well, you might expect to see North Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers sporting these fun looks. No, dress code has not changed for our law enforcement, but the rules have been relaxed for a good cause.

According to Valley News Live (Fargo), North Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers are participating in "No Shave November" / "Nail Polish November" in support of one of their own this year. The news report says, "Troopers from across the state voted to fundraise for Cure Duchenne on behalf of a North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper, who has a son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy." Get the full story from Valley News Live here.

At the point that this story was written, $5,9000 of the $10,000 goal to raise money for the North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper's son's cause. It took only 75 people to raise over half the funds - and we are not even halfway through the month of November yet! So, this is a goal that is totally attainable. If you want to help support a good cause, donate to the North Dakota Highway Patrol's Cure Duchenne cause here.

I love to see that the North Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers are doing something so simple for such a good cause. Our society definitely should see the positive impact law enforcement officers make in our communities and states.

Do you participate in "No Shave November" / "Nail Polish November" or other "challenges" to support a good cause?
