For many North Dakotans, doing laundry is the absolute worst. It's the choriest (made-up word) of all chores. Washing, drying, hanging, and then folding always seems to be such a daunting task. To help make your life easier, we've put together a list of laundry hacks.

1. Do I Stink?

This might seem gross to some, but most North Dakotans don't see anything wrong with the sniff test. If you're not one hundred percent sure you can trust your nose, get a second opinion.

According to Whirlpool, you can wear your shirts and blouses 1 to 2 times before washing. Jeans can go through 4-5 wears before washing, and sweaters can get up to six wears.

If all smells well, walk out the door and strut your stuff.

2. Why Am I Itchy

Every now and then, you might be asking yourself, "Why do I itch so much?" If that's the case, it could very well be that you're using too much detergent.

To help with the endless scratching and prevent the detergent from staining your light-colored clothes, drop in a little less detergent.

3. Detergent Placement

You might not have ever learned this, and that's okay. Allow us to help you figure out which detergents go where.

Powder detergents should go in the drawers, liquids should be poured on top of your clothes, and pods should go in the bottom of the drum.

4. Towel Dryer Trick

According to FamilyHandyman.com, throwing a dry towel in your washer with wet clothes will help them dry faster. It will help absorb the moisture, and the extra bulk may help fluff and separate your clothes.

That's it! Feel free to fill us in on any and all of your laundry hacks in the app.
