There are some things we see on the internet every now and then that get people all stirred up.

Not very often do North Dakotans make national headlines, but it seems that has happened recently.

A North Dakotan made an interesting observation while out running her daily errands, and posted a TikTok about it.

Viral TikTok

In the video you see a young woman, Carlee Gifford, confused and shocked at what she read on a North Dakota license plate.

It didn't take long for that video to blow up and end up all over the internet.

Giffford's TikTok was picked up by an incredibly popular meme account on Facebook, called "Memezar." Since it was shared to its page, it's racked up 1.3 million views, has thousands of comments, and hundreds of shares.

There are mixed reactions in the comment section.

Wondering why?

Well, that's because it says "W8N4S8N."

Some people found it funny, while others were nothing short of flabbergasted.

The comments range from "Horrible" to "Best one I've ever seen."

Personally, I've seen way worse license plates than this one. I actually put together lists of all the denied license plates in North Dakota every year. People get WILD.

This one made me chuckle.

I reached out to Ashlee Dawn Ista Maza, the owner of this car and plate. She said it was something she thought of a long time ago.

"I thought of it literally 10 years ago and my mom wouldn't let me get it until I got my own car, and so in 2020 I was able to get it. I'm super thankful the people in charge of approving it did at the DMV," said Maza.

She also told us that she was surprised to see a video about her plates making its way around the internet.

"I didn't really expect it to the traction that it did, honestly. And the TikTok definitely blew up," said Maza.

I asked Maza how this sudden popularity has affected her life.

"I've been seeing people sneak pics of my plate since I've gotten it. I'm not someone who prefers too much attention, but with a plate like the one I have, it's bound to attract it! I'm glad so many people think it's funny and glad it's being received so well, especially in Bismarck." said Maza.

Maza said she needs to put in place some security measures.

"Now I know I need to get anti-theft bolts for my plates!"

Of course, there's one question most of us probably want answered...

"Also, no, I'm not a satanist," said Maza.

ROTFL!!!!

Well, we're glad she cleared that up.

Maza also said there's a similar license plate scooting around North Dakota that reads, "W8N4 JC."

Have you seen any goofy or strange vanity plates around North Dakota lately? Tell me about it in the app.

I've seen several people driving Subaru's with funny plates, like "Blubaru" (the car was blue). Subaru owners are a little extra.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
