The Fourth of July will be here before you know it, so you better start figuring out what you’re going to do. Fun activities, music, drinks, yard games, or maybe you want to go boating!

FOOD!!!!

There’s one thing that is absolutely essential to having a great Fourth of July holiday, of course, it’s the Fourth of July barbecue.

When you think of a Fourth of July barbecue, you probably picture burgers, hotdogs, and macaroni salad. Ever wonder what food North Dakotans like to serve up most on Independence Day? Well, I'll tell you!

Each State's Favorite 4th of July Food

Time2play.com, conducted a study to find out which foods each state likes most. They looked at Google search volume trends for 100 different types of Fourth of July foods.

North Dakota's Favorite

North Dakota’s favorite Fourth of July food is a little different. Our go-to dish is red, white, and blue fruit pizza.

It kind of looks like this, but it's usually on a cookie crust, not cake.

I, honestly, had never heard of this in my entire life. I had to look it up. I’ve lived in North Dakota and have been to just as many 4th of July soirées, but I NEVER have been served this, so I call shenanigans. But who knows, maybe I'm just hanging out with the wrong fruit pizza-hating crowds.

Have you ever had red white and blue fruit pizza? I found some pictures and the designs are pretty cool and creative. Are you going to be making it this Fourth of July, or are you gonna stick to potato salads, baked beans, and burgers and hotdogs?
