You might want to pause before you start making your next peanut butter and jelly sandwich or before you start making your next batch of a North Dakota favorite: Scotcheroos.

Peanut butter recalls are happening all around the country, and now it looks like the recall has reached North Dakota. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration updated a recall involving more than 20,000 peanut butter products. The notice states that a peanut butter factory in California discovered bits of blue plastic during filter production. It implies that the risk of serious injury is low and was given a Class II distinction, meaning the contamination could cause temporary or medically reversible health issues.
