Beloved North Dakota Restaurant Closing After 50 Years
We see new restaurants popping up all the time, and it's great—our community is growing. While that's true, we have a few places in town that have been around for a while, and they are very near and dear to our hearts. They are places where we've built memories and celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and other milestones—places that are considered a staple in the community.
When one of these places closes, it feels like finishing a book or the end of an era.
Mexican Restaurant to Close
Fargo's Mexican Village restaurant has been serving authentic Mexican food to the people of Fargo for close to 50 years. Sadly, according to Inforum, it will be closing its doors for good.
Due to financial struggles, the owners have made the very difficult decision to close.
Closing Date
If you want to stop in and enjoy the food and atmosphere one last time, you better do it quickly.
Mexican Village will close its doors sooner than you might expect. Its last day of operation will be December 30th, before the new year.
The community will undoubtedly feel the loss, and we offer thanks to the owners and staff for preparing delicious Mexican food, signature margaritas, and good company for nearly a century.
Changes and challenges are sometimes inevitable, and even though the restaurant is closing, its legacy will remain an important part of Fargo's history.
Note: The eatery is located at 3155 46th St. S., and the owners have put the building up for sale.
