Thrillist always has rankings for everything from beer to bar-b-que. Now the web magazine has listed 25 of the best state parks around the country and North Dakota made the list.

The country is huge with many National Parks and State Parks to visit. The folks at Thrillist ranked the best state parks in the country and that's a huge undertaking. After all, in total, there are 10,234 state parks in the country.

Making the top of the list are-

  1. Na Pali Coast State Park - Kapaa, Hawaii
  2. Palo Duro Canyon State Park - Canyon, TX
  3. Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park - Big Sur, CA
  4. Custer State Park - Custer, SD
  5. Adirondack Park - Northville, NY
And coming in at #15 was Little Missouri State Park in Dunn Center, North Dakota, featuring 47 miles of backpacking and BYOH. Bring your own horse, but you must feed your horse with the certified weed-free hay, available for purchase at the park. And you get a beautiful view of the North Dakota Badlands.
