Police Forced to Wrangle 6 Dogs Following Vehicular Chase
The California Highway Patrol is most accustomed to pursuing vehicles and/or people, but on the evening of Jan 18, they were faced with corralling six canines down I-710 in Long Beach.
Earlier in the evening, CHP officers had spotted a Mercedes parked on the side of the highway. When they pulled up behind the car to investigate, the female driver hit the gas, leading them on a chase.
Pursuit ended when a police cruiser was able to physically push the Mercedes off the road. As the driver was receiving due process, the canine shenanigans began -- six doggy passengers leapt from the car, running out on to the highway.
Traffic was stopped temporarily while officers chased down the presumably shaken animals.
