It's quick, it's easy, and the kids love it. On our busiest days, when we don't have time to cook, many North Dakotans opt for a simple dinner. A family fan-favorite? Chicken nuggets and tater tots, of course.

Before you fire up the air fryer and serve your family, you might want to check the bag.

Days ago, McCain Foods USA Inc voluntarily recalled 40,000 cases of tater tots due to plastic contamination. According to MSN.com, the product could contain clear, hard plastic fragments. This could lead to choking and/or a good tooth chip.

The tots were shipped to 26 different states, including North Dakota. If you recently purchased Ore-Ida or Sysco-brand tater tots, you should check the UPC on your bag against the recalled UPC numbers.

Ore-Ida Tater Tots UPC code 1 00 72714 00215 8

Sysco Imperial UPC code 1 07 34730 62740 0

If you find either of these numbers on your tater tot bags, you should throw them out or try to return them to the store of purchase.
