Kimball Bottoms, better known as 'The Desert' to those in Bismarck-Mandan, will be the site of the Ride For Rubbish on Saturday, August 27th.

The event, which is being hosted by John Boehm, will give those with off-road vehicles the opportunity to show off their machines and network with other riders, while also cleaning up Kimball Bottoms in the process.

According to the official Facebook event, the 2016 Ride for Rubbish kicks off 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27th, and goes until 2 p.m.

Riders are asked to enter the event at the first big opening right off the main road. That's also where they'll grab their trash bag, which will, of course, be used to pick up all the trash left behind this summer.

When you return with your filled trash bag, you'll receive a free Ride for Rubbish t-shirt and a hot dog, as a 'thank you' for helping keep 'The Desert' clean.
