How North Dakota Would Rename Santa’s Reindeer This Christmas
Christmas is less than a week away, and we're all excited to take time off work, open gifts, enjoy delicious food, and spend time with our families. To help get into the holiday spirit, you might call Santa's Hotline, start wrapping gifts, or even start watching Christmas movies and listening to holiday songs.
One Christmas song we all know and love to listen to during the holidays is "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." The song details Rudolph's journey from social outcast to holiday hero. The song also names Santa's other reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen.
I thought it would be fun to come up with some North Dakota reindeer names, so here's what Santa's reindeer would be called if they were from North Dakota, which is arguably as cold as the North Pole.
On...Snowplow, on Brown Cow, on Dumpling, and Kuchen. On Cornfield on Cheese Curd, on Badlands, and Bison.

Those are the names of Santa's main reindeer if they were from North Dakota, but what about the star of the show? What would Rudolph be called if he were from North Dakota? Oh, I think I know.
Hotdish!
Hotdish the "Legendary" reindeer...had a scent you couldn't miss...when he walked through Santa's barn, everyone asked Who's this?!'
All of the outsiders said his name should be casserole, but he said I'm from North Dakota, and all of you are getting coal."
