Growing up a little boy I was fortunate enough to spend a week or two every Summer at the lake.  My parents would rent a cabin in Minnesota, and it was something I really looked forward to every year.  Its where I learned to water ski for the very first time, despite swallowing half the lake trying.  Its where I learned the value of a family campfire.  What it's like to pick off 300 wood ticks off me in one sitting.  Rowing out in a boat and trying to catch fish on my own, so my Dad would be proud of me.  Tubing, fishing, swimming, pulling leaches off me, even the smell of the lake was awesome.  Yeah, there's nothing like being at the lake.

That's why it was kind of a big deal about 6 years ago when I was finally able to buy my first lake cabin.  To be honest, I never thought I would be able to pull if off financially.  Looking at my paycheck each month, I know I probably shouldn't have.  However, I wanted my son to have my memories and I wanted him to have those while he was a kid.  Flash forward 6 years and we love our humble little log sided cabin on Enemy Swim Lake in North East South Dakota.  It's not a mansion by any stretch, however it's ours and that's a great feeling.

Now, I can only imagine what it would be like to own the property I'm about to show you.  It's currently the most expensive lakefront property in the state of North Dakota according to zillow.  It's on beautiful Lake Metigoshe near Bottineau, home of our famous Peace Gardens.  This property has 5 beds and 5 baths, 8000 square feet of living area and 450 feet of shoreline.  It sits on 1.35 acres and was designed for beautiful views of the lake.  It also has a 3 stall garage and workshop.  It recently had an almost 900,000 price reduction.  It now is being sold for $1,800,000.00.  That's right, 1.8 million that is could be your dream lake home.
