
Severe Weather Possible Into the Evening Hours on August 1st

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for most of the area until 11 p.m. Monday, August 1st.
At 4 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located in Kidder County with strong winds and ping-pong sized hail.
With the air and heat, conditions are capable of producing unstable weather and a good chance of severe storms for the area. Some of these storms can produce damaging winds, dangerous lightening and heavy rain.
The counties in the watch area currently include:
- Burleigh
- Morton
- Sioux
- Kidder
- Grant
- Logan
Residents in these counties should stay aware of this changing weather situation.
