Shooting Incident at Bismarck Rifle Range Leaves One Dead [UPDATED]
The Burleigh County Sheriff's Department is investigating an incident at a rifle range south of Bismarck that left one person dead Sunday morning (10/16).
According to The Bismarck Tribune, the incident took place on a rifle range owned by North Dakota Game and Fish.
Because the investigation is ongoing and family is still being notified, details were scarce at the time this blog was published.
[UPDATE 10/17]: The Burleigh County Sheriff's Department has identified the victim as 14-year old Jaide Tosseth. Tosseth was target shooting with her family when the incident occurred. It appears that Tosseth's death was an unfortunate accident.
