Shots Fired at Lil Wayne’s Miami Home, SWAT Team Investigating [VIDEO]

Shots were fired at Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach mansion on Wednesday afternoon (March 11). According to WSVN, an unidentified man made a phone call to Miami Beach Police Department indicating that he shot several people inside of Weezy’s home.

Wayne was not at the residence at the time of the alleged shooting. Lil Wayne’s record label, Young Money, confirmed through a tweet that Tunechi wasn’t inside the mansion. Young Money President Mack Maine also confirmed that "everybody good" in their camp.

SWAT team officials are currently searching the home to see if any there are victims. It is still unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting.

UPDATE: The SWAT team has given the "All Clear" at Lil Wayne's Miami Beach mansion, which means that they didn't find any victims or weapons at the residence. According to TMZ, Miami Beach PD believe that Weezy was the victim of "swatting." Miami Beach Police spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez did tell the media that it was a hoax and police are currently investigating on why this happened.

For those who don't know what swatting is, it's a mischievous stunt that begins with an anonymous person calling police to report a fake crime with the hopes of getting a SWAT team involved in search of a suspect. Singers Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Rihanna have been victims of such a prank.

Now the investigation will get started on who made a prank call to police. It's certainly no laughing matter to officials.

Lil Wayne addressed the situation through Twitter, acknowledging that it was a "prank kall." He also took advantage of the moment to plug his forthcoming Free Weezy Album.
