If you are an animal lover like me, you will appreciate all the changes and updates continuously happening at the Dakota Zoo.

The staff is always working hard to make sure the facility is safe and clean, not only for us but for the animals.

I decided to take my lunch break today (Wednesday, June 7th) at the zoo. By the way, today is free admission day at the zoo. Anyway, while I was there, I noticed something new was coming.

After feeding the goats and staring in awe at the porcupines climbing to the top of their trees in their enclosure, I noticed something new. Check it out:

North American Otter Exhibit

Otters have been at the Dakota Zoo for quite some time, but soon, they will get the royal treatment. A new otter exhibit is opening soon.

Looking at the Dakota Zoo's Facebook page, you'll see they made an announcement about this. There will be a new otter exhibit opening to the public this month. The Zoo plans to have a grand opening of it on Saturday, June 24th. There will be breakfast served that morning, as well as a river-cutting ceremony.

Don't Worry

If you're wondering whether or not we will still be able to watch them swim underwater, the answer is yes! You will still be able to see the otters and their fantastic swimming abilities without issue.

Have fun visiting all the furry friends at the zoo! TTFN.
