Sunday night was the biggest of the year in music: the 56th Grammy Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles, honoring the best of the best among writers, producers and performers. But who should take home the trophy for best-dressed, and who's get-up was just plain weird?

The 2014 Grammys (Jan. 26) were not without a handful of questionable frocks and outfits. Thankfully, there were only a few dresses that made us ask, "WTF were they thinking?"

The 65th annual Emmys (which aired on Sept. 22) boasted plenty of stunning outfits on the bodies of celebs as they pranced the red carpet. There were also plenty of fashion clunkers, which bummed us out, since some of our favorite stars (and their stylists) were out of character and didn't choose wisely.

This week was full of fashion home runs, courtesy of Jessica Chastain and Helen Mirren, who were both red hot in figure-hugging dresses, while Cate Blanchett went fashion-forward in a powder pink Balenciaga gown with a hula-like construction and tentacles that just didn't work for us.

This week's best ensembles were dresses --in leather and sequins, even in summer -- while the worst were largely menswear mishaps. Actress Naomi Watts owned in a black leather McQueen frock, while the usually quirky Maggie Gyllenhaal did the peplum trend in a unique yet all wrong way, adding pounds via an unflattering embellishment.
