Get ready for the 161st annual Morton County Fair August 4th to August 8th in New Salem, North Dakota.  All entertainment is FREE with gate admission.  Adults $10, Children $7, Sr. Citizens $7 and 5 and under free.

Wednesday, August 4th events include: 4-H General Achievement Days and the Horse Speed Events at 6 pm.

Thursday, August 5th events include: 4-H Horse Achievement Days in the Rodeo Arena.  10 am 4-H & Open Class Rabbit Show at Morton County Farm Bureau Tent with a 4-H & Open Class Poultry Show to follow.  Starting at noon a public display of 4-H exhibits.  1:30 to 6:30 pm will be the opening of the Static Exhibits.  You can pre-register here by August 4th or call Melanie at 701-212-5862.  Then at 7 pm there will be a Cornhole Tournament at the Livestock Show Arena.  You can register for that here.

Friday, August 6th events include:  8 am there will be a Beef Show, Sheep Show, Swine Shows, Meat Goat & Dairy Goat to follow.  9 am Open Class Static Exhibits judging begins.  9 am to 6 pm vendors will open up.  10 am the 4-H Dairy Show will begin.  Also at 10 am to dark the Bounce Right Inflatables will be open.  12:30 pm is the NDRA Rodeo Slack.  Then get ready for the NDRA Rodeo at 6:30pm.  Beer gardens will then open and dance to Slamabama from 9 pm to 12:30 am.

Saturday, August 7th events include:   8 am is the Open Class Junior Point Show.  9 am is the Morton County Fair and Western District Black and White Show.  Also, at 9 am is the Open Horse Show in the Rodeo Arena.  9 am to 7 pm Vendors will open up.  10 am to dark the Bounce Right Inflatables open up.  10 am to 5 pm Face Painting by Theo Art School.  11:30 am is the Kiddie Calf Show.  Beer Gardens open up at noon.  There will be a Power Wheels Derby in the Morton County Farm Bureau Tent.  You can register here.  5 pm is the Morton County Power Pull.  6:30 pm is the NDRA Rodeo.  8:30 pm Dance to Mikele Buck.

Sunday, August 8th events include:  There will be a Livestock Show at 8 am.  The Sand Volleyball Tournament starts at 9 am.  You can register here.  9 am to 1 pm all Vendors open.  10 am to 1 pm you try out the Rock Wall.  At Noon there will be a free lunch served by Morton County Farm Bureau in the Morton County Farm Bureau Tent.  Beer Gardens open at noon.  1 pm the Antique Tractor Pull will close out the fair.
