Shayna Griffiths Jordan, also known as Mrs. Bismarck, has been chosen to represent North Dakota at the 40th Mrs. America Pageant.

The annual Mrs. America Pageant will take place Aug. 27 at the Westgate Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and Shayna Griffiths Jordan will not only be representing Bismarck, but the entire state of North Dakota.

Sunday's state pageant took place at the Quality Inn & Suites in Jamestown. It was there that Griffiths Jordan won the crown over runner-up Kerry Faine, also known as Mrs. West Fargo.

In an interview with The Jamestown Sun, Griffiths Jordan said she was honored to win the title of Mrs. North Dakota America. “It’s absolutely incredible (winning the title),” she said. “To be representing North Dakota at a national level is absolutely amazing.”

Griffiths Jordan says she wants to take this opportunity to promote not only marriage and North Dakota, but also her non-profit organization, "Because of a Promise." The organization helps young people who are bereaved.

Griffiths Jordan is married to her husband, Jesse with three sons, Bryn, Dylan, and Sawyer.
