If you've never had the opportunity to see the northern lights, you missed quite the show on February 18th.

Luckily, Bartlett Productions set up a time lapse camera in Bottineau, North Dakota to record this amazing phenomenon.

The Northern Lights, or 'aurora borealis', are just another perk of living in a rural area and showcase the beauty of North Dakota. The lights are the result of collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere. All the scientific definitions aside, they just look amazing.
