A significant series of events in history took place earlier this month in 1994. This year is the 23rd anniversary of the iconic slow speed chase involving a wanted O.J. Simpson.

It was June 1994 that Simpson evaded police before finally turning himself in. He also plead not guilty to the double-murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend, Ron Goldman.

Despite wide speculation that Simpson was guilty, he was acquitted on the murder charges.

Since the case went to trial, the story has been discussed heavily in pop-culture, and most recently televised in the anthology series, "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story," and also the documentary, "O.J.: Made in America."
