It's not often we get such tragic news in the state of North Dakota. Sadly, today, we heard from multiple sources that a body was recovered from a North Dakota ditch.

Reports first surfaced on Monday, April 1st, almost like a cruel April Fools joke.

If you were traveling around the area that day may have seen several police cars and an ambulance lined up alongside the road, and wondered what was going on and what the commotion was all about.

Investigation a Death

Not a lot is known about the death of this individual, but we do know that the body was found off of I-29 in the 3400 block of 64th Avenue S in Fargo, near the new Fargo fire station.

Here is a picture of that general area.

Police are currently investigating the death. According to Valley News Live, police are telling the people of Fargo that they don't believe there is any threat to the community. This report says authorities believe the death was most likely a suicide.

Another report by KVRR says that authorities are calling this an "Unattended death."

Investigators have not released a name, and haven't released any other information at this time.

Our Hearts Go Out

Obviously, this is a very sad and sensitive situation. We wish all those related to the individual well during this very stressful time.

Hopefully the family gets the closure they need.

If any new developments come out about the situation, we will update this post. Check back for more.
