During their performance of 'Ordinary Love' at the 2014 Oscars, we got to see a side of U2 we don't normally get to see: a stripped-down, bare bones side. And the band nailed it, playing the moving 'Mandela' tune in an intimate, acoustic performance.

While it wasn't as over-the-top as their usual fare, they packed just as much power into the performance, with Bono hitting those high notes and the rest of the group playing their hearts out. Since the performance was acoustic, it also felt more intimate -- an impressive feat in a room packed with Hollywood's best. Ultimately, the stripped-down set was the perfect way to honor the late Nelson Mandela, and the room couldn't get enough of it. They applauded the band with a standing ovation at the end of the song.
