I'm sure you remember stopping in or passing by this boutique while in Bismarck's Kirkwood Mall. It was a brightly lit, clean store with trendy clothes for young girls and women. I remember buying a couple of cute outfits there, myself.

After years in their Kirkwood Mall location, the mother-daughter boutique made a surprising announcement on Facebook that they would be closing their physical location and operating online only moving forward.

This announcement came in early May of this year (2025).

It was certainly sad to see the business leave the Kirkwood Mall, but many of us were relieved that they would still be operating in the area.

The Future of the Store

A new announcement came out via Facebook today, giving us further insight as to the future of the store. While the store still isn't going away, it is looking for a new owner. The post said the following.

"With full hearts, we are announcing that Uptowne Loft is for sale. This isn't goodbye- this is a new beginning for someone else to carry on the dream that you helped build."

The post also explained that the current owners will continue running the boutique until the right owners come along.

I can tell you, it's always been a dream of mine to own a business, specifically a boutique or something of the sort. If this is a dream you also share, reach out to the owners and see if Uptowne Loft is right for you.
