WIND ADVISORY EXTENDED TO 7PM Sunday [Updated 10PM Saturday]

Another windy day is expected today for the Bismarck-Mandan area. The National Weather Service has extended the WIND ADVISORY until 7 PM Sunday. This advisory was to expire at 7 PM Saturday evening. Winds have been clocked at 41 MPH in Bismarck and the same velocity wind gusts are expected to continue.

Winds expected to gust up to 40 MPH today and high profile vehicles should use caution while operating in open area's and the interstate.

According to the NWS

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH... AND OR GUSTS UNDER 58 MPH... ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT... ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
