I got my first experience with the Downtowners Street Fair last September.  The aroma of the food was enough to make the whole experience worth it for me.  The food vendors really go all out, and you can't help but try a little bit of everything.  I was working the Townsquare Media booth, and it was so much fun meeting all of our listeners.  The enthusiasm they had for all of our stations was so nice to see.  This years Street Fair is coming up Friday, September 17th from 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday, September 18th from 9 am to 6 pm.

In case you are a newbie to our community, and not up to speed on the Downtowners Street Fair, here are 5 reasons you need to be at this years event.

Number 5- "The Crafts".  If you are into crafts, you will be hard pressed to find a better show in the state.  Bring lots of money, because believe me, you will be tempted to buy things.  Crafts for your home, your lake cabin and so much more.

Number 4- "People Watching".  You can't help but do it.  The Downtowners Street Fair typically draws between 60,000 to 70,000 people.  That's a lot to look at, and much like the amazing art displays, you can't help but look.

Number 3- "The Entertainment".  Local musicians will be "busking" (performing) at the Busker's Corner on 4th and Broadway.  We have so many talented local musicians in Bismarck Mandan.

Number 2- "The Food".  As I mentioned earlier, you won't soon forget the aroma of the Downtowners Street Fair.  The food vendors are sooooo good!

Number 1- "The Art".  If you appreciate art at all, this is the place for you.  So, many talent artists from around the area and even the region.  Again, bring lots of money.

Overall, you will find 180 food, arts, and craft vendors at the Downtowners Street Fair. Oh yeah, come in tennis shoes, the Street Fair is spread over 7 city blocks in Downtown Bismarck. They even have their very own Street Fair app.  Here's a map of this years Street Fair.
