An Exclusive First Look at ‘Chocolate: The Exhibition’ at the Heritage Center
On Saturday, a new exhibit will be opening at the Heritage Center in Bismarck.
Chocolate: The Exhibition which is a traveling exhibit from Chicago that has arrived in Bismarck explores the history of chocolate.
We don't normally think about the history of chocolate but the sweet and sometimes addictive candy has a rich (pun intended) history.
Kim Jondahl, the Communications and Education Director for the State Historical Society of North Dakota joined me (Wish) on Cool 98.7 on Thursday, May 25th to talk about what can be seen at the exhibit.
Then, I was invited down to the exhibit to get an exclusive first look at what it has to offer. Those who visit will learn how chocolate has evolved over the years as chocolate way back in the day was not consumed or viewed in nearly the same way it is today.
Additionally, you can learn the process of making chocolate and some of the not-so-sweet historical facts of chocolate's past.
Check out the interview above to hear more about the exhibit and learn some very interesting facts and check out our photo gallery below to get a preview of the exhibit before you head on over to the Heritage Center. The exhibit opens to the public on May 27th.
The exhibit will be up through early September and there is a small admission fee.
