Baby Girl Arrives in Back of Uber Car in Lincoln Tunnel
Two New York Port Authority officers helped an expectant mom to give birth in the back of an Uber car on Monday (Aug 31).
The car from the popular taxi-alternative company parked just outside the Lincoln Tunnel when the baby's mom, 32, went in to labor in the backseat around 5:15 p.m. The driver caught the attention of the officers, one of which, senior agent Greg Nimmo, has experience with this kind of thing, having delivered a baby while on-duty before.
According to KX News, it took "just minutes" for a healthy baby girl to make her appearance in the world. Momma and baby were then transported to a hospital, to which they had been headed from Hoboken, New Jersey, when the little one decided she "couldn't wait."
