Bill to Delay Use of Medical Marijuana in ND Passes
Senate Bill 2154 has passed and will suspend provisions of the North Dakota Compassionate Care Act.
The bill was passed to give more time to the state Department of Health to set up rules to govern medical marijuana in North Dakota. This suspends all use of medical marijuana throughout the state until July 31, or when further legislation is passed that authorizes prescription, dispensing, growth and any other use of medical marijuana.
This bill does not revoke the law passed back in November, but puts a delay on any actions taken on the legalization of medical marijuana until further notice.
