A promising season for the Bismarck Bobcats is officially over after a game five loss, 2-1, to the Austin Bruins in the NAHL playoffs.

After forcing game five with a win Saturday night, the Bruins kept the momentum going tonight with a first period goal from Brian Bachnak.

The Bobcats responded in the second period with a last second goal from Zach Yon, which tied the game at 1-1 heading into the third period.

With 4:56 left in the third period, the Bruins tacked on their second goal when Jay Dickman put it in the back of the net. The Bruins were able to hold off the Bobcats and secure the series with a 2-1 win.

The Bruins will move one step closer to the Robertson Cup, while this loss ends the Bobcats streak of five straight Central Division Championships.

Congratulations to the Bismarck Bobcats on another great season in the capital region!
