BisMarket will begin their season with market tours and cooking demonstrations on Saturday, June 7.

Beginning Saturday, June 7 at 10:30, check out BisMarket on Sertoma Park near shelter five. Guests will be able to tour the market, giving them a chance to meet vendors and learn about the products sold. But don't worry if you can't make it either Saturdays, a separate tour will be given Tuesday, June 10 at 4 p.m.

As a special treat, Duane Ehrens, head chef at St. Alexius, will lead cooking demonstrations on the 7th and 14th, which will feature recipes that will peak the interest of beginners and experts alike. He will also provide ideas for cooking the fresh food that will be featured at BisMarket.

BisMarket truly is about providing the community with education about healthy choices, as the North Dakota Cancer Coalition provided it with grant funding to promote and provide the community with fresh produce.

BisMarket's hours beginning Saturday, June 7 into October are:

  • Tuesdays: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

I have personally visited this farmer's market, and it's something that should definitely be checked out! Each booth brings a sense of character that builds a unique atmosphere for patrons to enjoy, plus it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning (or Tuesday evening).
