The list keeps growing!  North Dakota and Bismarck keep getting high marks in unemployment, growth and quality of life. Now, Bismarck has ranked 5th as the fastest growing city in the US according to 24/7 Wall Street.


According to the website;

Six of the fastest-growing metro areas were among the bottom 20% best areas for  unemployment rate at the end of 2013. Bismarck, North Dakota and Midland, Texas  had the nation’s lowest and third-lowest unemployment rates.

Other cities in the top 5 included Midland, Texas, Odessa, Texas, Austin-Round Rock, Texas and The Villages, Florida. Three of the top 5 cities economy are being driven by the oil industry and low unemployment rates, again, due to the oil industry.

Low unemployment rates and the attraction of a good quality of life continue to attract  people from across the country to the Peace Garden State looking for brighter and better futures.
